North of Scotland Referees Association
There are 12 Referees’ Associations across Scotland working closely together with the Scottish FA to develop refereeing.
The North of Scotland Referees Association is responsible for the Highlands & Islands and our members referee in the SPFL, SWFL, Highland League, North Caledonian League, Youth and Amateur leagues across the area.
We also deliver the Introductory Referee Course on behalf of the Scottish FA, provide weekly physical training sessions and hold regular meetings for referees.
Become a Referee
Referees are a vital part of football and as the Scottish FA seeks to continually grow and develop the Scottish game, there is a constant need to recruit and develop referees.
Refereeing can be a highly rewarding challenge, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle as well as significantly contributing to the development of the game. Referees operate at all levels– from grassroots football right through to the Scottish Professional Football League and international matches.
